1. Hosting and automatically collected data

Our website is operated by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When you access our website, data is automatically processed by the server infrastructure operated by IONOS. This includes in particular your IP address, date and time of access, pages accessed, browser type and version, operating system, and the previously visited page (referrer). This processing is technically necessary to provide our website, ensure system security, and analyze errors. It is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, as we have a legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of our website. The log data is generally deleted after seven days at the latest, unless further storage is required for evidentiary purposes. Further information on data processing by IONOS can be found in the IONOS Privacy Policy.

2. Contact forms and other inquiries

Our website provides several contact forms through which you can submit inquiries about our offerings. We process the data you provide, such as name, email address, and the content of your message, as well as the time of the inquiry. We use this data exclusively to process your request and communicate with you. Insofar as your inquiry is aimed at concluding or initiating a contract, processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. In other cases, it is based on our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The data is stored for as long as necessary to process your request. Insofar as statutory retention obligations exist, we retain the data for the duration of these periods and otherwise restrict processing. Data is not disclosed to third parties unless there is a legal obligation to do so or this is necessary for contract fulfillment.

3. Newsletter via MailerLite

You have the option to subscribe to a newsletter through which we inform you about new editions and other news. For distribution, we use the MailerLite service. A JavaScript code from MailerLite is embedded on our website for this purpose. As part of the registration, we process your email address and the time of registration; further information (such as your name) is voluntary. Processing is carried out on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. The provider is MailerLite Limited, Ground Floor, 71 Lower Baggot Street, Dublin 2, D02 P593, Ireland. MailerLite processes the data on our behalf and according to our instructions. Further information can be found in the MailerLite Privacy Policy. You can revoke your consent to receive the newsletter at any time with effect for the future, for example via the unsubscribe link in each newsletter email or by sending a message to info@editionblock.de. After unsubscribing, your email address will be removed from the distribution list, unless further storage is necessary or legally required.

4. Links to social media profiles

On our website, we link to our profiles on external social networks (currently Instagram and Facebook). When you click on these links, you leave our website and are redirected to the offerings of the respective providers. Only there does processing of personal data by the platform operators take place. The privacy policies of the respective providers apply to these platforms. Information on this can be found here:

5. Cookies

Our website currently does not use cookies for analysis or marketing purposes. Insofar as technically necessary cookies are used, they serve exclusively for the operation of the website, such as for displaying pages or controlling form functions. No further evaluation of your user behavior takes place.

6. Encryption

To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use SSL or TLS encryption on our website. You can recognize an encrypted connection by https:// in the address bar of your browser and by the lock symbol. Data that you transmit to us via our website cannot easily be read by third parties.

7. Your rights

You have various rights in connection with the processing of your personal data, about which we inform you below. You can request information at any time about whether and what personal data we store about you and for what purposes it is processed. If data is incorrect or incomplete, you have the right to request its correction. Under the statutory conditions, you can also request the deletion of your data or the restriction of processing. Insofar as processing is based on your consent, you can revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future. Processing carried out up to the point of revocation remains unaffected. In addition, you have the right to receive data that you have provided to us and that we process automatically in a common, machine-readable format, or – insofar as technically feasible – to have it transferred to another controller (data portability). You also have the right to object to the processing of your data if there are reasons arising from your particular situation and we base the processing on an overriding legitimate interest. In the event of an objection, we will no longer process the data in question unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for processing or the processing serves to assert, exercise, or defend legal claims. If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates data protection regulations, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is, for example:
Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information
