The offset prints by Sarkis, printed on both sides of the paper, show two motifs: on one side, honeycombs stacked on a golden frame, from which the liquid honey drips into a collecting basin – a photograph taken by the artist in the large bazaar in Istanbul, Eminönü Misir çarşisi – and on the other side, greatly reduced in size, a reflection of light on a dark, damp, shiny floor, taken in Kadiköy Sinan Külliyesi. The two motifs – the flowing honey as a metaphor of the inner body, and the light illuminating the interior of an old, dilapidated building – are dedicated to the Montenegrin author and film director Vlatko Gilić, whose films Sarkis saw in 2003 in the context of the exhibition In den Schluchten des Balkan (In the Gorges of the Balkans) in Kassel.
