Many of Sanja Iveković’s works deal with the fates of women – as victims of domestic or political violence or as active fighters in the resistance against political and patriarchal systems. The four-color offset print Sarka D.K. uses newspaper articles, archival material, and drawings to commemorate the socialist politician and independence fighter Dr. Savka Dabčević-Kučar, one of the most important leaders of the Croatian Spring.
