At the end of March 1972, Galerie René Block presented Peter Hutchinson’s exhibition Chess, a week-long chess demonstration. Every day, chess games between Hutchinson and various players were held in the initially empty gallery, and documentation of these games was subsequently exhibited. His offset print Chess Documentation No. 10, created in the same year for the Weekend Suitcase (EB32), shows two Polaroid photos of Hutchinson himself and his opponent, over which the images of the chessboard from above can be faintly seen as a double exposure. The graphic also documents the course of the tenth game of the chess demonstration.
