For the special edition of the publication Grafik des Kapitalistischen Realismus (EB31), K.H. Hödicke created the work Selbstbildnis. The starting point for this was four photo booth prints showing Hödicke wearing a hat, captured as a dark silhouette in various poses against a light-coloured curtain background. The photos were reproduced as screenprints in brown ink. The artist’s face was then overprinted on each of the bust portraits with amorphous shapes in black lacquer paint.
