    In the context of the dismemberment of chairs and other everyday objects that has been taking place in the work of Stefan Wewerka since the early 1960s, his contribution to the rolling cabinet edition En Bloc (EB20) consists of sawn-up small pieces of wood or other objects, some of which are inserted into one another or fitted with hinges. As if they were everyday consumer goods, Wewerka packs the elements in a transparent drawstring bag to which a colored label with the artist’s name, the name of Galerie René Block and the fictitious price of 49.50 is attached. The artist’s signature is on the back of the label.
